Defective design - Beware
Bosch Oven not sealed

We purchased this oven last thanksgiving, waited a couple months to recieve it. When installed the light switch stayed on, used it once on roasting some pork and had a river of moisture flow out of the bottom all over our cabinets, microwave and floor. Never seen anything like this. There is barley a seal in place. We had a puddle of water on the floor. Light switch was defective and always on. Service ordered replacement parts. The seal was exactly the same, attached in only 4 places, the light switch malfunctioned. I love Bosch products but this design is a lemon. BTW it is always very featureless.

It is not selfclean and impossible to clean splatters ,even with the special cleaner they sent, off top and sides or between glass on door. Leaving runs. Have to take door apart clean and reinstall. The temperature has to be replaced as it is not accurate.

We were very disappointed with this product. The control panel came to us with two flaws one on either end. They came back to change the control panel and the oven does not work (does not heat up properly) We also called the Bosch customer service number and were treaded very poorly with no results. Our dealer, LH Brubaker, Lancaster, Pa. Could not tell us when they could have it back to us. Their remedy was to give us a showroom model which was a 2023 model, offering us a $ 100.00 refund (which was a joke) being with out and oven for approximately 3 weeks we accepted the offer, in order to have an oven. We are still waiting on a gasket for the oven door which they stated was a two month delay. Are we happy, absolutely not. We have two other Bosch appliances, a dishwasher, and an induction stove top, which we are extremely happy with. We will no longer deal with this dealer, and we have been their customer for more than 35 years and have always bought our appliances from them. Your customer service is extremely rude and and can not be dealt with. A deep look at this needs to happen

We chose this model because of its size, that it has a convection element, and that we have purchased several Bosch appliances in the past and have been happy with them. However, this oven, while it meets our basic needs, could definitely be improved. The dials are clunky and old fashioned -- I don't care how they look, but with an oven installed below my waist, it is difficult to get the temperature properly set and to see where the lines match up to the function/temperature. Why not a digital input in place of those dials? And why not an audible signal AND a larger light to indicate when the oven has reached the preset temperature? Very poor design in this aspect. Also, despite Bosch's touting of "home connect" on most of my Bosch appliances, there is zero ability to connect this oven to it as far as I can figure out. And, if I could, would it tell me when the oven has reached the preset temperature? You could do so much better with this, Bosch.

I am so angry about this I can hardly speak. This oven cost 2xs as much as my last oven, and it doesn't bake worth a darn. The muffins I make every week come out burned on the top and practically wet on the bottom. This happens whether I am in bake mode or convection bake mode. Also, the slide out racks tip out and fall onto the oven door once you pull them out halfway. No disaster has happened yet because of that design flaw but I can see that it's bound to sooner or later. I would definitely not recommend.

I recently reviewed my oven after it shut off during a cleaning cycle. The terminal block was deemed defective and burnt out. The $99 part was not the issue, but the rest of the bill $558, $200 for the service call and $300 for labor was a bitter pill. The first technition could not unlock the door and came back later with another tech. It took them almost 2 hours to unlock it. Then they had to come back to take the oven out of the wall and replace the part. So, this one little repair totaled 30% of the cost of the oven. Everyone I spoke to from the Appliance Store and the Techs warned me not to use the cleaning cycle. What a joke. I am extreamly dissapointed and will seriously reconsider using this brand for any further appliances.

As other reviewers have said, the temperature is routinely off by 50-100 degrees. The manual offers minimal guidance on how to best use the various heat settings, with trial and error we've found the oven reaches a max of 350 on "bake", and can't go higher than 450 when set to 500 on a convection setting. It's a small oven, so it is what it is. Like other reviewers have said, various fixes and part replacements don't seem to fix its weak and inconsistent heat.

I've loved this oven and it has been problem free for 2 years. I used the cleaning cycle over the weekend and it won't unlock and the panel is blank. I tried troubleshooting it per the manuel and no luck. I've just had a repairman here and HE can't unlock it. I took a day off from work for nothing. I am beyond upset.

This handsome oven cooks very evenly and is certainly much more efficient than the 1963 Roper (gas) oven it replaced. Most important, it is one of the only two 24" in-wall ovens on the market, so I can't complain too much. But I'm knocking off one star for two reasons.
First, the digital display seems pointless. I don't need another digital clock in the kitchen. Why not display temperature when the oven electronics clearly know it? Why not beep when a set temperature is reached? What is the point of the steaming chicken icon? It conveys no useful information. Why not change the icon depending on the oven mode set?
My second complaint is as a new user I am having a hard time telling the difference between the functions/modes. What, for example, is the difference between Pie and Bake? Maybe the English version of the manual doesn't explain them very well? Some simple graphics in the Functions table, showing how heat is distributed in each mode, would be useful.

My old double oven went out and I could not find the a new one that would fit the opening in my kitchen. So I decided to go with just a single wall oven and am I glad I did..this oven is wonderful. The only think I wish the lite to tell you when it is hot cannot see it too good. but other than that it is a wonderful oven.

This oven has red LED lights on the control panel that never shut off, including a little turkey symbol that is always there. The oven knobs do not allow you to choose a specific temperature. When the oven is in operation it is loud and bright lights shine through the oven door and light up the entire kitchen. So it is loud, bright, and it emits a lot of heat into the kitchen. My family wanted me to return it immediately. I didn't, and now I regret it because after two months the oven door gasket fell loose because the hooks that hold it in place are precariously held by the rubber and slip right out. I called Bosch to order a replacement gasket under warrantly. After an hour on the phone, I was able to order the part, but it will not arrive for another 1.5 months. I asked if Bosch would at least extend my warranty for the period of time that I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE MY OVEN and they said no. Save yourself - do NOT buy this oven.

I chose this oven over a competing german brand due to the price and simplicity (makes it easier on inlaws who like to visit and help in the kitchen). There seems to be one glaring error, there is no chime when the oven reaches the set temperature! Huge mistake on Bosch. It is also rather low wattage, so be prepaired to wait for it to heat.

This new oven makes me realize just how bad I had it before. Even hearing, multiple modes, easy to clean... I am over the moon with this oven and have yet to find a flaw!

We needed a 24 inch oven to fit our cherry cabinets. After much research we decided on Bosch due to quality and design. It looks great and has done well for roasting and baking. We look forward to using it for many years.

I was thrilled to find a quality oven in a smaller size. My home had last oven upgrade in 1970's. Two suggestions,1 display what temp oven has
reached as it preheats, 2 a bit more info regarding convection oven cooking temperature and time changes to meal cooking.
The oven looks so clean and sleek in my kitchen. It wasn't as pricey as I was thinking it could be. Recommend definitely.
