Very basic and straightforward. I had to purchase this one because previous homeowner put new tile floor over existing floor not giving the clearance to pull out old dishwasher and install a regular size dishwasher. Also, the old machine had to be cut out. Consider this potential problem with older homes.

The second time I ran a cycle the handle on the silverware basket came off when I was unloading the silverware. Not a good start. Our prior dishwasher was also a GE and had no problems. A feature our prior dishwasher had that I loved was a light that shined on the floor in front of the dishwasher when the cycle was complete.

This dishwasher looks ok, although I never understood hiding the display under the counter where you can't see it. The capacity is tiny - everything feels cramped and I can't imagine that anyone would ever use the function to lower the top rack - things barely fit on the bottom rack with the top rack raised up. In short, this dishwasher is tiny, and if I wasn't stuck with low countertops, I would have chosen almost any other dishwasher. As for its washing abilities...the dishes come out clean, but soaked. It doesn't matter what cycle you use, there are pools of water on every dish. Nothing like hand drying every dish you just washed. This dishwasher is trash. Would not recommend, unless you have low countertops like me, and you have no other choice.

The bottom rack has short & tall posts in different sections so your dishes get knocked around. No replacement/improved part is available. IF i had paid more attention to this rack I would not have purchased this dishwasher.
I purchased rubber extenders for the shorter posts but it didn't help.

Disappointed that there is t a dry cycle. The condensation drying process as described by GE doesn™™t work well at all.
Have to open door and pull out racks and leave to air dry for a few hours. Not a fan of this process.
Otherwise, cleans fine.

I like the sleek outside look, however find the inside of dishwasher too small, particularly with height. My standard dishes wont fit if the top shelf is on lower rung. Also the top water spout is attached and does not spin like my other dishwashers. I also wish there was a some type of indication of when the cycle is done, but without opening, there is no way of knowing

The racks are not designed to hold large size water bottles either on the top or the bottom
The silverware caddy doesn™™t fit many of the utensils we need to clean. The individual squares are much too small

I™™m not happy with this purchase.
The dishes don™™t dry well at all. It™™s almost as if there is no drying cycle at all. The instructions book that it came with has no troubleshooting section. There are no lights on the front of it to indicate where it is in the cycle or if it™™s running. For an ADA compliant dishwasher, this machine completely misses the mark.

I received this dishwasher in my handicap apartment and it does NOT dry dishes. The inside of the door still has water standing. The instructions book says nothing about what the problem may be. Horrible piece of equipment.

By far this is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. It does not actually clean dishes and it does not even have a dry cycle. I was forced to buy one of these because my kitchen counters were too small for the one I originally purchased. I should have just cut open the countertop to put in the dishwasher I wanted instead of this horrible piece of garbage. Soap residue is left on every cup, plate and silverware. The only good thing about this dishwasher is that even at 51dB, it is still more quiet than my old GE dishwasher which lasted me 30 years. Clearly something has gone wrong with GE as their newest dishwashers can't actually wash dishes. As soon as my warranty is up, I will be getting rid of this one.

for the price its cheap made, it started with leaking on the corner even after cleaning of all filters and so, then stopped draining completely. So it seems draining pump its bad so it lasted almost 4 years. for how much it will cost to repair i think i will just buy a new one, not worth paying practically the same as a new one just to repair it. I wouldn't recomend this model or brand, there were always issues with this one.

We are delighted to have purchased this Dishwasher. It arrived on time and was so easy to install. When we started to use it we were pleasantly surprised , it is so noiseless while working.It is so noiseless I asked my so to findout if it was working. It was so comforting to find that it will not disturbe our sleep unlike our earlier machine. It so sturdy to look at. Its capacity is far more than our earlier machine When it completed the dishwashing cycle the utensils were clean like new. There were no stains over our crockery. We found it is so efficient and it uses far less detergent than our earlier dishwasher. We are we chose GE.

I just got this dishwasher so I can only report on my first observations. I'm sorry to be only mentioning the negatives but that is where I am now. First, it feels cheap. While it is supposed to be stainless steel, it really is plastic and it feels very flimsy. I worry not to break it when I pull the handle to open the dishwasher. Second, the racks are not laid out in the most efficient way. It is hard to load it without wasting space. I also need to mention that I am being critical because I expected a lot better product for the top price GE is asking.

top rack does not hold many of my stemless wine glasses as they are too wide. was hard to retrieve a spoon that had fallen in. rack and basket were in the way. had to get this specific one due to the size opening in my kitchen.
